In many developed countries across the world, residents rely more heavily on cashless, E-money transactions than traditional currency. In the Caribbean we are yet to fully realize this. Now with the effect COVID-19 has had on movement we have been forced to figure better ways for facilitating business transactions. The growth of startups trying to spread their wings and cater to larger markets or service existing customers in a restricted environment remains obstacle-prone as they struggle with the lack of efficient payment systems.
The move towards a cashless economy is heavily debated and controversy-prone. However, current circumstances have made consideration of this even more critical. Now business demands alternative payment solutions beyond cash and physical contact. It’s How can we solve this? The challenge is ours to address.
