This Valentines TEN Habitat is celebrating the language of Love with VENUS. This is the event for Lovers of Business and Lovers in Business. If you are a couple who work together in business or support each other then this is for you. If you are single and pursuing your dream but would love to share the experience with another then we have something for you too! This is about strengthening existing connections and making new ones! Building your dream is always more enjoyable when there is someone to share it with. Purchase a couples ticket or a single and leave the rest to us.
Is Venus just for lovers?
The event is really about us being able to use the love language of business to reflect the love language of relationships. Just like business, you need support, you need effective communication, you need to be able to provide that strength to that other person.
There are a lot of entrepreneurs, lovers of business, that are pursuing their business endeavours by themselves. We want to use Venus as an opportunity to identify a person that shares the same business goals and ambitions as you and has a compatible personality and interests. Then we create scenarios and opportunities where you can discover those similarities and those strengths.
That isn’t to say the event isn’t for couples. It's a way to strengthen your relationship and to discover new ways of supporting each other. Everyone can benefit from that.
How does the pairing work?
When someone single purchases a ticket you receive a personalised email and a form to fill out. We collect this information and seat you with someone we consider a good match. No one else at the event will know you’re single or see your profile, we’ll keep all of that confidential.
At the dinner we will host a number of icebreaker games that the pairs will play individually. After that the MC for the night will ask a number of questions and prompts that you and your partner can discuss in private, at your own table. That way you don’t have to worry about any awkward silences and we are able to stimulate interactions and the connections along.
What if there is an odd number of singles?
Singles may not necessarily have to sit with the other person that we pair you with, but you will be able to sit and enjoy what's happening around you. If we aren’t able to find that perfect match or there’s an odd number of men to women, we’ll seat any potential suitors and lovers of business at a general area where you can still engage in the activities and support one another.
It's a place for people to feel supported and not feel alone and not necessarily feel single, even if you’re surrounded by couples who are in love and have been together for a long time. It's a way for all those lovers in business and lovers of business to be in one space and feel the love and support of everyone in this space but have the opportunity to potentially find someone that you connect with.
There's a lot more to be experienced
There will be a seven-course dinner cooked by prestigious Barbadian chef Michelle Maloney-Smart and cocktails throughout the night. Also included in the ticket is a welcome drink and a photo booth, where you can capture the night with a personalised photo celebrating your love of business or your lover in business.
Two seatings will take place at either seven to nine or nine to eleven however if the earlier guests wish to stay on they can. If you really click whether it’s with a potential partner or whether it’s with a lover of business and you want to continue talking then you just go to the bar, where you can purchase cocktails or wine and drink it at the bar or in our lounge area.
